About Me

I am originally from upstate New York.  Go 'Cuse!!!!  I taught for 6 years in the Rochester area before my family and I moved to Staunton, Virginia, in 2006. I taught at Skyline Middle School in Harrisonburg for 8 years, thus explaining why my kids and I are such big JMU fans.  I have two sons and a daughter.  My oldest just graduated from St. Christopher's High School in Richmond and is now attending George Mason.  He is majoring in kinesiology and is wrestling.  My middle son is going into his sophomore year at St. Christopher's and in his 12th year wrestling. Lastly, my daughter is at the middle school with me.  She is in 8th grade and plays volleyball and lacrosse. I started teaching PE/Health at Smithfield Middle in the fall of 2014.  I have never wanted to be anything else besides a PE/Health teacher.  I love being around kids and sports.  Go Panthers!
