Welcome!  I'm so excited to be teaching at SMS this year.  I began my career as a special education teacher in 2006 and began teaching at Smithfield Middle School in 2016.  I graduated with a bachelor's degree in psychology from Liberty University and went on to  take master's coursework from Old Dominion University in order to obtain my teaching certification.  I I love working with middle school students and am passionate about creating a warm, safe, and comfortable learning environment for each and every student.
