I feel very fortunate to be able to work with the students and families at Smithfield Middle School and am so happy and proud to be part of a faculty that works as a team, focused on guiding our young people on their journeys to becoming lifelong learners.  I have a Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and a Master of Science in Education from Old Dominion University.  After teaching in Southampton County and Chesapeake, I took time off to raise my three boys, but returned to the classroom when my youngest were in elementary school.  In 2020, I started teaching full-time in Isle of Wight County.
